| Lost or Stolen Credit Card | - Be careful with the PIN. Even if someone gets a student’s card, he or she unlikely will be able to use it if a student has a secure pin. Students should make sure their PIN is not written down anywhere, particularly near his or her cards. A student should not also give his or her PIN to anyone, even friends and family. If the PIN is secure then the card is going to be safer.
- Get insurance. One of the best methods to defend credit cards is to get protection insurance. The registration company will cover any loss, in case when student’s credit cards are lost or stolen. If a student uses a self-governing company then it can record all his or her cards and report multiple losses at once.
- Only carry what is needed. Another way to stop loss or robbery is to only carry out the cards students need every time. It is unlikely they will need all thei cards every time they go out. If they keep them at home then they are less likely to need replacing. Students should just take out what they need.
- Do not panic. If students do have their cards stolen or lost, they should remain calm. If they follow all of these steps, then they will have new cards in around a week and they will not lose money from unauthorised spending.
