| Credit Card Common Mistakes | Here are some common credit card mistakes, avoiding which will help everybody with their credit score and save their money in loan costs:
1. Applying for a card and limit a student cannot afford to repay Most people have bad debt organization skills and are swept away with the fact that they have unknown amount of pounds as their limit. They hardly ever consider paying the card and spend years trying to repay the card.
2. Applying for too many cards Most of students usually use a chance to apply for a new card as soon as it is proposed to them as they are unsatisfied with having one credit card that has reached its limit. Then, having learnt nothing from their previous experience, they rush and buy all the things they could not because had to save money to pay back the first card. Unexpectedly they have twice the trouble.
3. Using the cash advance function At least with purchases made for goods and services students should get around 50 days interest free credit, but with a cash advance they start to pay interest from Day 1. Using a student credit card to cover his or her everyday cash needs is a very expensive mistake for everybody.
4. Only paying the minimum repayment Credit card companies care for students and it has to be their favorite of the common credit card mistakes, but with credit card interest rates as high as they are, if students are only making the minimum monthly repayment then they should know it will take them years to pay back the debt and they wll have paid back the debt many times over in interest payments.
5. Maxing out the card Another widespread mistake and one that half the country is at fault of is maxing the card out. If a student has maxed his or her credit card out it is a sure sign that he or she is living beyond his or her means, so what hope have he or she got of paying back the debt without a radical overhaul of his or her debt management skills.
