Airline Miles Credit Card offers airline rewards. Earn frequent flyer miles while traveling. Rewards points can be redeemed for airline discounts or probably on free nights in some hotels. Spending money with airline credit cards is a great way of racking up frequent flyer miles. For seasoned travelers, having one of these cards is a must.
Before considering which frequent flier credit card program to choose answer two questions: will you be able to get benefits from the dominant airline in your region? Which one will earn the quickest ticket with the fewest strings attached?
There are two kinds of airline miles credit cards: airline-sponsored and bank-sponsored credit cards. The fist kind allows you to focus on a single airline. If the airline has a hub in your city it probably controls most of the routes to potential destinations. So, it is convenient, efficient and therefore economical in many cases. Bank-sponsored credit card allows more flexibility, because the miles earned can be used on many airlines rather than just one. If there is no a dominant airline in the region these cards probably are the best bet. The other advantage of this kind of card is that sometimes the minimum mileage required for travel is lower than with airline-sponsored cards. But these cards usually come with more fine print, too.
